<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes - Plan Commission <br />Page 2 <br />December 8, 1987 <br /> <br />After further discussion, Mr. Marsh moved that the Plan Commission approve the <br />subdivision of property at 155 N. Hanley Road for condominiums in accordance with <br />the condominium plat entitled "The Oaks in Olde Towne." Mr. Rice seconded the <br />motion which passed by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Councilmember Adams reported to Commission members that the City Council had <br />approved the Site Plan Review for a retail center at the former Westover Nursery <br />site at 7900 Olive Boulevard. The developer also planned to demolish the <br />building east of the site, the former Mt. Olive School, for construction of a <br />freestanding grocery store. Council had also approved the Conditional Use Permit <br />for USArt, Inc.'s office at 8327 Fullerton Avenue and had denied an application <br />for a pawn shop location on Olive Boulevard. Commission members discussed the <br />condition of the Tivoli Building on Delmar after the recent fire as well as any <br />pending development proposals for the Hanley Jr. High School site. Mr. <br />Washington asked who was developina the property on the northwest corner of <br />Delmar Boulevard and Hanley Road. Ms. Elwood replied that an American Cleaners <br />store was currently under construction on the site in accordance with a Site Plan <br />Review approved by the City Council. Mr. Adams also reported that a Public <br />Hearing on the proposed truck parking regulations would be held at the next City <br />Council meeting on December 14, 1987. <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley informed Commission members that Mr. Carl Safe of 6921 Waterman <br />had been appointed by the City Council to the Plan Commission. Mr. Safe is a <br />University City architect who has recently been involved in the design of new <br />storefronts in the Delmar Loop. <br /> <br />Mr. Rice noted that the minutes of the October 28, 1987, meeting were incomplete <br />with respect to the disposition of the motion detailed on page 6. Ms. Elwood <br />stated that she would include the correct disposition of the motion; Commission <br />members unanimously agreed that the minutes of the October 28, 1987, meeting <br />should stand as corrected. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. <br />
