<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />January 27, 1988 <br /> <br />The City Plan Commission held its regular meeting in the Emergency <br />Operations Center of City Hall on Wednesday, January 27, 1988, convening at <br />7:30 p.m. with Chairman Matthew P. Adams, Jr. <br /> <br />Staff present: Frank Ollendorff, City Manager; Al Goldman, Director of <br />Planning; Sarah Elwood, Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />Councilmember present: Paul Schoomer. <br /> <br />As the first order of business, Chairman McCauley introduced Mr. Carl Safe <br />of 6921 Waterman Avenue as a new member of the City Plan Commission. Mr. <br />Safe maintains an architectural practice on Westgate Avenue and is a faculty <br />member of the Washington University School of Architecture. <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley noted that Commission members should each have received a <br />copy of the past year's zoning code amendments for integration into their <br />copies of the University City Zoning Code. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Marsh moved that the minutes of the December 8, 1987, meeting be <br />approved as submitted. Ms. Kreishman seconded the motion which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 259. ZERTHUN MINALE. 7299 OLIVE <br />BOULEVARD <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley informed those present that the Plan Commission had <br />scheduled a public hearing on a Conditional Use application by Zerthun <br />Minale in order to allow the premises at 7299 Olive Boulevard to be used as <br />a carry-out restaurant. The Chairman indicated that the Plan Commission was <br />charged with the duty of reviewing the application with regard to certain <br />criteria: 1) the proposed use is necessary for the public convenience at the <br />proposed location, 2) it is so designed, located and operated that the <br />public health, safety and welfare will be protected, and 3) it will not <br />
