They replied that they had not. <br /> <br />After further discussion, Mr. Marsh moved that the Plan Commission <br />recommend denial of the rezoning request for the parcel at the <br />Mercy High School si te. He stated that the issues regarding <br />building design and setbacks was not a factor in his decision, but <br />that the proposed development was not the best use of the property <br />and violated the terms of the 1986 Comprehensive Plan regarding <br />subdivision of the property. Mr. Foxworth seconded the motion <br />which passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />REOUEST FOR RESUBDIVISION OF LOTS 81-86 OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />UNIVERSITY PLACE. PLAT ONE <br /> <br />Ms. Elwood informed Commission members that the firm of Burdine and <br />Associates, Inc. had submitted a request for approval of "boundary <br />adjustment" of Lots 81-86 of the Village of University Place, Plat <br />I, on behalf of the developer, Richards Bruno, Inc. These lots, <br />proposed for development of attached townhomes, front on the south <br />side of Balson Avenue, immediately west of Hanley Road. The <br />intention in the proposed resubdivision of these lots is to align <br />the lots with those across Balson to the north, making all <br />townhomes in this first block of the subdivision perpendicular to <br />the street. The lot sizes still exceed the required 2,000 square <br />foot minimum lot area and will not change any feature of the <br />original subdivision plan approved by the City Council under site <br />Plan Review #1202. Planning staff recommended approval of the <br />resubdivision. <br /> <br />After a brief discussion, Mr. Marsh moved that the Plan Commission <br />approve the resubdivision of Lots 81-86 of Plat One of the Village <br />of University Place as proposed. The motion was seconded by Ms. <br />Ratner and passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />ELECTION OF OFFICERS <br /> <br />Chairperson Kreishman opened the floor to nominations for the <br />office of Chairperson of the City Plan Commission for 1991. Mr. <br />Kendall nominated Melissa Kreishman for a second term as Plan <br />Commission Chairman. As no other nominations were made, the <br />Chairperson closed nominations. Mr. Safe seconded Mr. Kendall's <br />nomination and Melissa Kreishman was elected Chairperson of the <br />City Plan Commission by acclamation. <br /> <br />The Chairperson opened nominations for the office of Vice Chairman <br />of the City Plan commission for 1991. Mr. Marsh nominated Mr. <br />Kendall for the office of Vice Chairman and Ms. Ratner seconded the <br />nomination. Mr. Kendall declined the nomination. Mr. Safe <br />nominated Mr. Marsh for a second term as Vice Chairman. Ms. Ratner <br />seconded the nomination. Mr. Marsh was elected Vice Chairman of <br />the City Plan Commission for 1991. <br />
