Session 1735, Minutes <br />November 23, 1998 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />increasing the amount of play while adding 7% ($250.00 monthly) to the compensation <br />provision. This reflects our interest in improving the quality of the golf course rather <br />than increasing non-resident participation. Mr. Akin has done an excellent job of <br />managing and operating the golf course and shop. Maintenance of the course remains <br />the responsibility of the City staff. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved approval. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman asked if Mr. Akin runs the food service at the Golf Course. Mr. <br />Ollendorff replied that Mr. Akin runs everything, except he is not responsible for <br />maintaining the c¢~urse. <br /> <br />Responding further to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff responded that the new rate <br />proposal should be ready to present to Council at the end of December, which could go <br />into effect next spring. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #2: RESUBDIVISION OF 7937 CORNELL: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff concurs in the Plan Commission recommendation to approve the splitting <br />of this lot into two parcels each of which meets all zoning ordinance requirements as to <br />size. Each of the resulting lots will also be typical of the size found in this <br />neighborhood. Approval will result in two new high quality houses where only one <br />currently exists. -I'he new houses will be no closer to each other or to the existing <br />neighboring houses than is the situation on other properties nearby. This matter was <br />postponed from the last Council meeting to this meeting due to questions concerning <br />private deed restrictions. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved approval. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Oberlander, 8027 Cornell, appreciated the Council postponing this matter <br />at the last meetin.q. He said that a lawsuit had been filed to prevent the resubdivision of <br />this property. He cautioned Council not to approve this tonight due to the pending <br />litigation. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer said that he believed that the Council had no legal option to hold this <br />matter any further. Council has to move forward. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
