December 9, 1998 Plan Commission Minutes Page 2 of 2 <br />Hearing: Resubdivision / Lot Consolidation, 1 McKnight Place <br />Chairperson Solodar announced that a hearing was scheduled to consider the application of <br />McKnight Place Partnership I, L.C. represented by Charles Deutsch for reapproval of the final <br />plat to consolidate eight lots with existing Lot1 and create a separate lot to be known as Lot 3. <br />Charles Deutsch, 1 McKnight Place, University City, MO 63124, gave an overview of the project <br />stating that due to some legal and title issues they wished to reconfigure the lot as currently <br />proposed. <br />Mr. Hill stated the McKnight Place Partnership I, L.P. has refiled the final subdivision plat for <br />this property. A different configuration was previously approved by the Plan Commission at the <br />October 1, 1998 Meeting. Mr. Hill stated that the new plat meets all requirements of the <br />subdivision regulations and asked that the final plat be approved per his December 4, 1998 <br />memo. He stated that Shu Simon, City Attorney for zoning issues stated that if the following <br />script is added to the plat the lot size of Lot 3 will conform with the subdivision regulations, <br />“Owner acknowledges that pursuant to Article 2 of the University City Zoning Code, Lot 3 does <br />not constitute a lot of record which may be separately developed and may only be developed as a <br />zoning lot in conjunction with Lot 1 and/or Lot 2.” <br />Mr. Solodar asked that the reference to Missouri Highway 725 be switched to Interstate 170. <br />Mr. Self moved that the Plan Commission recommend approval of the final plat for the <br />subdivision of 1 McKnight Place to be known as “The Gatesworth Addition”if, prior to being <br />forwarded to City Council, said plat includes the addition of the following language under the <br />Owner’s Acknowledgment and General Notes “Owner acknowledges that pursuant to Article 2 <br />of the University City Zoning Code, Lot 3 does not constitute a lot of record which may be <br />separately developed and may only be developed as a zoning lot in conjunction with Lot 1 and/or <br />Lot 2.” Further, the identification of Missouri Highway 725 shall be identified as Interstate 170. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Reed and passed by a vote of 4 to 0, with all members voting <br />“aye.” <br />Discussion of Economic Development Strategy <br />Mr. Walker and Joy Cunningham, Economic Development Specialist for University City gave an <br />overview of the Economic Development Strategy. Commission members discussed the strategy. <br />Adjournment <br />Mr. Solodar moved for adjournment. The motion was seconded by Mr. Reed and passed <br />unanimously.
