Staff found that the areas studied bore a sufficient resemblance to University City to make <br />them relevant in considering the appropriateness of adopting regulations in University City. <br />Following discussion of the Staff Report, the Plan Commission concurred that the regulation and control <br />of the adverse secondary effects associated with adult businesses is necessary in order to protect the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents and businesses of University City, preserve the quality of life <br />of the community and the character of its neighborhoods and property values. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Smith and seconded by Ms. Arbogast and passed by a vote of 6 to 0 that the <br />Plan Commission recommend approval of the text amendments as submitted in the Staff report. <br />Adjournment <br />Mr. Credit moved for adjournment.
