PLAN COMMISSION Minutes June 26, 2002 The Plan Commission held the regular meeting in the E. O. C. Room located in the basement of City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on June 26, 2002. The meeting commenced at 7:30 p.m. with Chairperson Credit presiding. Voting Members PresentVoting Members Absent Tony Credit Larry Self, Vice Chairperson Deborah ArbogastHarley Smith Jimmie IronsJohn Kreishman Rosalyn Borg Council Liaison Present: Arthur Sharpe, Jr., Councilperson Staff Present: Lehman Walker, Director of Planning and Development Election of Chairperson Mr. Credit was elected chairperson. Approval of Minutes Chairperson Credit stated that the Commission would consider approval of the minutes from the May 22, 2002 meeting. Ms. Borg asked that two things be added: 1) That the discussion if in-fill housing should reflect that “It might be necessary down the line to make changes to the Zoning Code to address the issues concerning in-fill housing.” 2) That the discussion of adult oriented business should reflect that “The matter of first amendment rights concerning adult oriented businesses was reviewed by Shulamith Simon, City Attorney for Zoning Issues. Mr. Walker stated that the section concerning in-fill housing should state that the report will be available a week before the July meeting. Mr. Credit moved for approval as amended. The motion was seconded by Ms. Borg and passed by a vote of 4 to 0 with all members voting “aye.” Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit Amendment, Addition of dining tables to carry out restaurant, 405 - 407 Jackson Chairperson Credit announced that a public hearing was scheduled to hear an application from Truffe’s Inc. represented by Helen Fletcher, 405-407 Jackson requesting that tables be permitted at the carry out restaurant at 405-407 Jackson.
