<br />Ms. Borg moved that the Plan Commission recommend approval of the resubdivision / <br />condominium. The motion was seconded by Mr. Marentette and passed by a vote of 6 to <br />0 with all members voting “aye.” <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Text Amendment of Section 34-61.1 concerning fence height <br /> <br /> <br />The Chairperson announced that the hearing was scheduled to hear an application to <br />amend the fence height ordinance to allow an exception for fence posts. The Chairperson <br />noted the Commission's procedures and criteria for reviewing text amendments. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker gave the staff recommendation that the application be approved per the Staff <br />bold <br />Report, as follows (additions are in ): <br /> <br />Section 34.61.1 Height limitations. <br /> <br />1. In any residential district or the "HRO" district, no fence located within <br />above grade, <br />a required side or rear yard shall exceed six feet in height <br />except that posts may exceed the limitation by no more than six inches <br />(including decoration and/or ornament at the top of the post), <br /> unless <br />otherwise permitted in this article for purposes of screening, or for tennis <br />courts, backstops, or playgrounds. (Also see Section 34-61.5). <br /> <br />above <br />2. In any nonresidential district, no fence shall exceed eight feet <br />grade <br /> in height except for tennis courts, backstops, or playgrounds. (Also <br />see Section 34-61.5). <br /> <br />Ms. Borg moved for approval. The motion was second by Mr. Myers and passed by a <br />vote of 6 to 0 with all members voting “aye.” <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Arbogast moved for adjournment. The motion was seconded by Mr. Smith and <br />passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m. <br /> <br />
