PLAN COMMISSION Minutes October 25, 2006 The Plan Commission held their regular meeting in the EOC Room in the basement of City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on October 25, 2006. The meeting commenced at 6:30 p.m. with Chairperson Myers presiding. Voting Members PresentVoting Members Absent Steve Myers, Chairperson None John Kreishman, Vice Chairperson Harley Smith Rosalyn Borg Charles Marentette Tom Byrne Mike Miller Council Liaison Present : None Staff Present: Lehman Walker, Director of Planning and Development; Frank Hill, Zoning Administrator Approval of Minutes The Chairperson stated that the Commission would consider approval of the minutes from the September 27, 2006 meeting. Ms. Ricci’s name needs to be removed from attending that meeting and replaced with Mr. Byrne’s name. Mr. Kreishman was the person who noted his name was misspelled at the last meeting. Mr. Myers moved for approval of the minutes amended. The motion was seconded by Mr. Smith and passed by a vote of 6 to 0 and 1 abstention with all members voting “aye,” except Ms. Borg abstained. Hearing: Map Amendment (Rezoning) - SR to GC, 7745 Olive (rear portion of the lot) The Chairperson announced that a hearing was scheduled concerning an application from Alex Fung dba Seafood City c/o Lei-Hoo Mak, Architect, 8328-R Olive, University City, Missouri 63130 for a map amendment of the property located at 7745 Olive (rear portion of lot) from “SR” - Single Family Residential to “GC” - General Commercial District. The Chairperson noted the Commission's procedures and criteria for reviewing map amendments. The applicant was represented by Mr. Mak, who gave an overview of the proposal and asked that it be approved. Mr. Hill gave the staff recommendation that the application be approved per the Staff Report. The Chairperson asked for comments from the members of the public.
