<br />PLAN COMMISSION <br />Minutes <br />May 28, 2008 <br />The Plan Commission held their regular meeting in the E.O.C. Room located in the basement of <br />City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on May 28, 2008. The meeting <br />commenced at 6:30 p.m. with Chairperson Marentette presiding. <br />Voting Members PresentVoting Members Absent <br />Charles Marentette, ChairpersonNova Felton <br />Tom Byrne, Vice ChairpersonLisa Greening <br />Mike Miller <br />Ben Senturia <br />Ben Halpert <br />Council Liaison Present <br />: Terry Crow, Councilperson <br />Staff Present: <br /> Lehman Walker, Director of Community Development; Frank Hill, Manager of <br />Current Planning <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The Chairperson stated that the Commission would consider approval of the minutes from the <br />March 26, 2008 meeting. Mr. Miller moved for approval of the minutes. The motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Halpert and passed by a vote of 4 to 0 with all members voting “yes” (Mr. Byrne <br />was not present for this agenda item). <br />Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit Amendment, Parking Lot Expansion for Car and <br />Truck Leasing Facility, 7290 Olive and 1166 Midland (7270 Olive) <br />The Chairperson announced that a public hearing was scheduled to hear an application from <br />Amerco Real Estate Company, dba U-Haul, 2727 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85004 to <br />allow the premises at 7290 Olive and 1166 Midland to be used for a parking lot expansion. <br />The Chairperson noted the Commission’s procedures and criteria for reviewing conditional use <br />permits and amendments to them. The Chairperson specifically stated that the Plan Commission <br />must consider whether the use: a) Complies with all applicable provisions of the University City <br />Zoning Code; b) At the specific location will contribute to and promote the community welfare <br />or convenience; c) Will not cause substantial injury to the value of neighboring property; d) Is <br />consistent with the Comprehensive Plan, neighborhood development plan (if applicable), and any <br />other official planning and development policies of the City; and e) Will provide off-street parking <br />and loading areas in accordance with the standards contained in Article 7 of the University City <br />Zoning Code. <br />Q:\WPOFFICE\WPDATA\m-2008-05-28.plc.final.wpd <br /> <br />
