<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, MO 63130 Phone: 314-862-6767, <br />Fax: (314) 862-0694 <br /> <br />Date: July 7, 2006 <br /> <br />To: Members of the Traffic Commission <br /> <br />From: Mariela Tapia, Secretary of the Traffic Commission. <br /> <br />Re: July 12, 2006 Traffic Commission Meeting <br /> <br />This is to inform you that the next Traffic Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, <br />July 14, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the EOC Room in the Basement of the City Hall annex building. <br /> <br />Please call Sandy Weinberg at 505-8563, and advise her if you will not be attending the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br /> <br />1.Parking congestion on Jackson Avenue and Dartmouth Avenue <br /> <br /> <br />Chief Adams requested consideration for prohibiting parking on Jackson, south of the <br />intersection with Dartmouth Avenue. He stated that parking should be restricted to allow <br />access for larger vehicles such as fire trucks. <br /> <br />The Engineering Division inspected the area near the center island of Jackson and Dartmouth. <br />Currently, parking is prohibited on Jackson Avenue, north of Dartmouth. Please find sketch <br />attached. <br /> <br />The Engineering Division recommends that parking be prohibited on the west side of <br />northbound Jackson Avenue from the south line of Dartmouth Avenue to the north line of <br />Tulane Avenue. And for parking to be prohibited on the east side of southbound Jackson <br />Avenue, from the south line of Dartmouth Avenue to the north line of Tulane Avenue. <br /> <br />2.Forsyth Pavement Marking Plan (Big Bend to Wallace) <br /> <br /> <br />The City received a copy of a pavement marking plan for Forsyth Boulevard from Washington <br />University. The plans were provided by Christopher Brammeier, from Crawford, Bunte, <br />Brammeier Traffic and Transportation Engineers. <br /> <br />The plans include a change in lane usage for the westbound lane of Forsyth Blvd., east of Big <br />Bend Blvd. The plans have been reviewed by the City of Clayton and St. Louis County. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\agenda\2006\July's meeting\Agenda 7-12-06.doc <br /> <br />
