Page 2 – Agenda October 10, 2007

Currently, there are “no left turn signs” (7-9am and 4-6 p.m., M-F) for northbound Midland
at Melrose, at Wellington at Carleton and also for southbound Hanley at Melrose and
Wellington. These signs should be helpful and enforced to deter motorists from cutting
thru the neighborhood.

Recently, St. Louis County decided on making Midland, from Olive to Canton, a two way
traffic road. The change will improve travel along Midland and deter cars to cut thru the
neighborhood. Police will provide results from speed records on the neighborhood.

The engineering division recommends that the request for barriers be denied and that the
existing no left turn signs be enforced.

2.REQUEST FOR STOP SIGN ON FULLERTON AVENUE AT KEMPLAND PLACE

Please find attached a request received from Beth Foster dated August 13, 2007. There is a 3-way stop sign at Fullerton
and Braddock, the intersection east of this one. There was 1 reported accident in the last
3 years in this area.
