Public Works requests that the Traffic Commissioners vote on this request.

2. Stop SiQn at the intersection of KinQsland Ave and WashinQton Dr.

Please find attached a traffic request submitted by Kylene Page on April 21, 2008, requesting the installation of a
four-way stop sign at the intersection of Kingsland Ave and Washington Dr.

Currently there is a two-way stop on Washington Ave, but Kingsland Traffic does not stop.

A three or four-way stop sign will be furnish and install if 5 or more right and left turns collisions have occurred
during the last 12 months.

Police Department will provide results from the accidents report at this intersection at the meeting.

Public Works requests that the Traffic Commissioners vote on this request.

3. ParkinQ Restriction for 8516 Olive Blvd

Please find attached a traffic request submitted by Francisco Coronel on April 22, 2008, requesting the
assignment of Customer parking only for business located at 8516 olive Blvd, in the City's ROW alley located in
the back of the building, in order to provide parking for his customers.

Mr. Coronel states that employees from next door businesses take all the parking spaces for the complete work
day and no parking spaces are available for customers. He request at least 3 parking spaces to be designated for
Customer Parking Only.

Currently, there is parking allowed in the back of the building except on Wednesdays from 7 am to 9 am for street
cleaning purposes, since that alley/parking area is on City's ROW.

Public Works is reviewing the possibility of a one-hour parking restriction being implemented in the rear of the
property for five (5) of the parking spaces to address the businesses' customer parking needs.

4. Speed control on Drexel Dr and Wilson Ave.

Please find attached a traffic request submitted by Holly Tasker on May 14, 2008, requesting speed control on
Drexel Dr (between Hanley Rd and Wilson Ave) and Wilson Rd (between Midland Ave and Shaftsbury Ave).

Mrs. Tasker states that many people use Drexel Dr. and Wilson Ave as a way to avoid Olive Blvd, between
Hanley Rd and Midland Blvd. Cars are often traveling very fast, especially as there is no stop sign at Drexel and
Hanley, or any other indication to reduce speed. Because there are no sidewalks on Drexel, it often seems
dangerous for children to play in the front yards.

Mrs. Tasker requested the following:

. A sign posting speed limit on Drexel Dr. - recommended
. Speed trailer on Drexel Dr. - recommended
. Speed bumps on Drexel Dr. and Wilson Ave. - not approved by the City due to damage that they
cause to emergency vehicles.
. Stop sign at Drexel Dr. at Wilson Ave. - not recommended to control speed of vehicles.

Public Works will install two (2) Speed limit signs on Drexel Dr at Wilson Ave and at Hanley Rd. in the month of
June 2008.
Also, a speed trailer has been placed to record traveling speed for a period of time. Results will be presented at
the meeting.

Public Works recommends that if speed control is not improved after the installation of the speed limit signs, Mrs.
Tasker notify Public Works Representative after 1 or 2 months to consider other actions to be taken to reduce the
speeding on Drexel Dr and Wilson Ave.

AGenda Traffic Commission MeetinG June 11, 2008

PaGe 2
