Page 2
Minutes December 10, 2003
Traffic Commission Meeting

Discussion:
Representing this issue was Jeff Serkes, resident at 7320 Forsyth, unit 101.

The Commissioners mentioned that parking on Forsyth has been a problem since the high
volume on traffic. There are many driveways along Forsyth that have the same problem.
The traffic is worst near 7320 Forsyth due to the Metro construction. There is no ordinance
prohibiting to park “x” amount of feet from the driveway entrances.

The Traffic Commission voted to the Engineering Division to do further
investigation and give some recommendation.

3.Input from Mr. Marcus Hightower

Background:
On September 10, 2003 Traffic Commission Meeting, Mr. Hightower requested a “NO
nd
PARKING” area at the southeast corner of 82 Blvd and Appleton Dr. intersection. At that
moment, The Commission voted to install signs displaying, “no parking from here to corner”
nd
at the 82 Blvd and Appleton Dr. intersection. The signs were installed.

Discussion:
In this opportunity Mr. Hightower states that the problem is not solved. There is lack of
ndnd
visibility at 82 Blvd. and Appleton Dr. intersection, due to cars parked along 82 Blvd.

The Commissioners advised Mr. Hightower to call the police to enforce the no
parking area.

4.APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE November 12, 2003 MEETING

The commission voted unanimously to approve the minutes.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.

Minutes prepared by Mariela Tapia, Secretary of the Traffic Commission
V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\minutes\2003\Minutes 12-10-03.doc
