She stated
that the Phase I did not include the addition of any parking spaces in the field and
the funds for future phases is uncertain. Residents are concerned about big “bottle
necks” of vehicles getting out of the field after every event. They perceive that
Clayton School District will use the field for community events and rent the field to
raise money for future phases of the project.

Ms. Brot stated that we should not wait until the problem starts and get ready now.
For example she mentioned that Clayton blocks residential streets for special events
and U. City may consider doing so.

Ms. Welsh proposed requesting an updated calendar from Clayton regarding the
number of games scheduled and the game times. Also, ask about the possibility of
Clayton having shuttles to provide transportation during special events.

Ms. Brot mentioned that she will send a letter to Clayton’s Council members
requesting more information regarding Gay Field project. Ms. Tapia will specifically
request information from Clayton City representatives, regarding the Gay Field
project and game schedule.

Mr. Gibson concluded that more information should be gathered and due to lack of
quorum; this item should be tabled until the next Traffic Commission meeting.

th
The next scheduled meeting is on October 12, 2005. Due to several Jewish
holidays, Ms. Brot requested that the City consider re-scheduling the meeting.

3.Options for Creating parking on Loop North

Commissioners reviewed the seven options for providing parking on Loop North.
The following comments were offered:
?Parking Option #3 sounds more viable.

?Parking should be metered

?Ms. Welch mentioned a new development in Donaldson Ct. is being planned

and therefore the City should not make big changes in the area.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:00 p. m.

Minutes prepared by Mariela Tapia, Traffic Commission Secretary
V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\minutes\2005\Minutes 9-14-05.doc
