2.Request to make Mona Dr. a one way street from Glenside Pl. to Groby.

Mr. Gillispie has requested that Mona Dr. from Glenside Pl. to Groby be made a one way
street toward Groby. Mr. Gillispie states that since the completion of the Groby Rd.
Bridge project that entering/exiting onto Mona has been more difficult and that the
bridge design doesn’t allow enough room for two vehicles at the same time.

Mr. Gillispie stated that it is difficult to make a right turn onto Mona from Groby and
stay in the correct lane.

Mr. Greg Patterson asked if Mr. Gillispie had any signatures from his neighbors. Mr.
Gillispie stated he has not received any signatures from the surrounding residents.
Sergeant King was not aware of any accidents at this intersection and that no thru
traffic will use this route and this restriction will only hamper the residents who leave on
Glenside Place.

The traffic commission requested that Mr. Gillispie get signatures from the
neighborhood affected from his request. The commissioners rejected this proposal
until public works can study the intersection for suggestions once the neighbors
affected approve the petition.

3.Crosswalks at the intersection of Balson/Midland/Vernon.

The installation of crosswalks at the intersection of Balson/Midland/Vernon has been
requested by Councilmember Glickert. Currently there is no crosswalk at this four way
stop. This intersection is very much used by pedestrians. This is not a typical
intersection in that it is asymmetrical, and any changes will need to be reviewed and
approved by the County because it lies within the County’s right of way. Eric Husman
sent a request into St. Louis County to investigate this intersection for crosswalks to be
installed. This matter is presented as a discussion item. Public works requests your
recommendation on this request.

The traffic commission discussed the need for a crosswalk and requested information
from St. Louis County.

The traffic commission decided to take this matter up again when the County has
issued a response. Public works has issued a request to St. Louis County and are
currently waiting for a response.

4.Approval of Minutes for October 11, 2006 meeting

The traffic commission approved the minutes from October 11, 2006.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p. m.

Minutes prepared by Eric Husman, Right of Way Manager

V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\minutes\2006\Minutes 11-08-06.doc
