Page 2 - Minutes
February 8, 2006

Cars park out of the curb,
limiting the driveway
entrance.

The commissioners voted for a “no parking” area be established between 8218 and
8230 Swarthmore Ct.

2. “No parking” on one side of the street for Bartmer Industrial Avenue, East

Park Industrial Drive and to install a stop sign for the East Park/Bartmer
Industrial intersection

Sam Wilson represents American Water Treatment Inc. located at 6324 Bartmer
Industrial Drive. He requested that a “no parking” area be established along one side
of East Park Industrial Drive (from Olive to Bartmer) and along one side of Bartmer
Industrial Drive (from East Park Ind. Dr. to Sutter). He also requested that a stop sign
be installed at northbound East Park Industrial Drive at Bartmer Ind. Drive.

The commissioners took into consideration the traffic congestion that the “Food Search
Company” may create by vehicles and customers lining up on East Park Industrial Drive,
Bartmer Industrial Drive and Sutter Ave. Also, they considered the big tractor trailers
that park on these streets.

Sgt. King mentioned that parking restrictions along Bartmer Industrial Drive and East
Park Industrial Drive existing in the Municipal Code are for street cleaning purposes.
These streets are not cleaned on a regular basis, just when requested.

The commissioners recommended that signs on Bartmer Industrial Drive and East Park
Industrial Drive be installed regarding: parking restrictions from the intersection of curb
lines and parking restrictions for fire hydrants. Also, they recommended that the dates
and times the “Food Search Company” operates should be investigated to determine if
parking restrictions are needed.

V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\minutes\2006\Minutes 2-8-06.doc
