The project was introduced by Meera Jain, Architect with Arcturis.
The proposal is to construct a 160 square foot, one-story, porch addition to the
south side of the existing single-family dwelling. The proposed porch is set
further back from the street than the main dwelling. It is going to be screened in
with a door to the back and to the front. The architectural pattern will continue
that of the existing addition. The porch will be located behind existing trees. The
fence will be continued from the porch and must remain because of the pool.
The fascia will be painted aluminum.
Questions/Comment from the Commission:
- Are the neighbors aware of the proposed addition? Discussion about
previous addition to house at 236 Linden Avenue and opposition from
neighbors.
- The Commission members agreed that the porch meets the District
standards.
