<br />R E ~ 01 170fo <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a municipal election was held in the City of University City, Missouri on <br />Tuesday, April 4, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said election was conducted according to the laws of the State of Missouri, <br />the City Charter and Ordinances of the City of University City, and the rules and regulations <br />promulgated by the Board of Election Commissioners ofS1. Louis County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following were candidates for the respective office as shown: <br /> <br />Joseph L. Adams <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Robert G. Wagner <br />Allen S. Sabol <br /> <br />Councilmember, First Ward <br />Councilmember, First Ward <br /> <br />L. Michael Glickert <br />Edward McCarthy <br /> <br />Councilmember, Second Ward <br />Councilmember, Second Ward <br /> <br />Eric B. Reese <br />Byron R. Price <br /> <br />Councilmember, Third Ward <br />Councilmember, Third Ward <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IX, Section of the City Charter, the election returns <br />shall be canvassed by the City Council at a meeting not later than forty-eight hours after their <br />receipt by the City Clerk, and the candidates receiving the highest number of votes for each <br />office be declared elected, and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the laws of the State of Missouri, the City Charter, and <br />the Ordinances of the City of University City, and the rules and regulations promulgated by the <br />Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, the City Council of University City, at a <br />meeting held on April 17, 2006, at 6:30 p.m., upon the certification of the returns by the Board of <br />Election Commissioners of S1. Louis County from the forty-five precincts in the City of <br />University City, and upon certification by the City Clerk of the results of said election held <br />Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in the City of University City, and as canvassed by the Council of said <br />returns of said election, and it appearing that the votes received are as follows: <br /> <br />Number of Votes <br /> <br />Joseph L.
