She said this was <br />never approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />Debby Schuman, 8258 Groby Rd <br />Ms. Schuman stated that from the position of her neighborhood, they are all relieved and <br />grateful for the relief of the after dark hours and the tranquility has return without the <br />driving range lights being turned on. <br /> <br />Sarah Davoli, 7378 Milan, <br />Ms. Davoli stated she also had gathered petition signatures from residents who wish to <br />see the tributary statue and wall for Chuck Berry be handled according to the City <br />Charter. She said the path can still be completed without the installation of the Chuck <br />Berry statue until discussed by Council and residents. Ms. Davoli noted that she is <br />concerned as to who actually authorized it. She said the fact that a private donor had <br />asked an unelected individual to pay tribute to a private citizen and force the residents to <br />pay for maintenance and any liabilities did not promote transparency. <br /> <br />Mose Wells, 1175 BelRue <br />Mr. Wells asked that sidewalks and curbs be replaced on his street as they have sunk. <br />He stated the tree limbs also needed to be trimmed. He stated that without curbs, the <br />water flows into their yards. <br /> <br />I. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch opened the Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. for public discussion on the <br />CDBG allocation. There were no speakers present to speak, so the Public Hearing was <br />closed at 6:46 p.m. <br /> <br />J. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />K. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br /> <br />1. <br />Youth in the Loop Forum. Mr. Walker stated that at the last Council meeting, it was <br />suggested that more opportunities were needed for the youth. Staff has proposed a <br />forum to include representatives of the Loop Business District U City Police, Parks <br />and Recreation Department and the summer youth employment participants. <br /> <br />Mr. Price asked for clarification stating he was not sure if it was the Loop Business <br />District would want to provide youth opportunities. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker said that since the youth issue involved the Loop Business District, they <br />should be participants in being able to provide the City with suggestions. <br /> <br />2. <br />Park Commission Motions. <br />Mr. Walker provided staff’s answer to the four questions presented by the Parks <br />Commission.
