RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> A RES( LUTION DESIGNATING A COUNCILMEMBER SERVE AS MAYOR <br />PRO TEMPORI ~ UNTIL APRIL 2000. <br /> <br /> WHERE AS, Section 8 of the Charter of the City of University City (Charter) provides <br />that the City Col tncil shall choose one of its members as mayor pro tempore, and <br /> <br /> WHERE ~S, the Mayor is absent from time to time or otherwise unable to attend to his <br />duties as provide d for by the Charter, and <br /> <br /> WHERE. kS, it is in the interest of good government and the citizens of University City <br />to have designatt,d a mayor pro tempore in advance, and <br /> <br /> NOW, T5IEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of <br />University City 1' ereby designates <br /> <br />PAUL SCHOOMER <br /> <br />a Councilmembe:~', as mayor pro tempore, to serve in such capacity until April, 2000. <br /> <br />Cit ~ Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
