Session 1092, Iinutes Page 16 <br />January E, 1975 <br />so that the amendment can be submitted to the electors in April. Ile said <br />there are other provisions that he would like to proceed on, but hopefully <br />these can be reviewed by a commission. IIe said he feels strongly about the <br />particular amendment that lie has introduced. Councilman Werner said he <br />doesn't want the Charter to continue to have t: -ie very broad terminology of <br />Public office and he would have no objection to a revision of the general <br />terminology which he has suggested, but he does think it is a matter that <br />should be chanted as quickly as possible. <br />RESOLUTION - COIILIU14ITY DEVELOPIMIT ACT: <br />City Manager henry called attention to a Resolution which had been prepared <br />regarding the Community Development Block Grant. <br />Councilman Lieberman moved adoption of the Resolution, which was seconded by <br />Councilman Grimm and unanimously carried. A copy of the Resolution is at- <br />tached hereto and made a part of these Minutes. <br />RESOLUTIO 4 - BIG BE14D BOULEVARD: <br />4o action was taken this evening with regard to the Resolution which had <br />been prepared for consideration of the Council concerning the matter of the <br />proposed improvement of Big Lend Boulevard. <br />RESOLUTIO14 - FARILMS' i ARKET: <br />City Manager Kenry called attention to a Resolution which had been prepared <br />commending the national Guard for their work in constructing the outdoor <br />market. Councilman Weissenburger moved adoption of the IZesolution, which <br />was seconded by Councilman Glickert and unanimously carried. A copy of the <br />12,esolution is attached hereto and made a part of these Iiinutes. <br />REAPPOINTIMNT - CAPTAIN JOSEPH DAVIES, Jlt., - BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF TIE POLICE <br />A14D FIREiIIENIS IZETIREiIIENT FUND: <br />Councilman Weissenburger noted that Captain Joseph Davies, Jr. (University <br />City Police Department) ILas been re-elected to the ;oard of Trustees of the <br />Police and Firemen's Retirement Fund, and accordingly Councilman Weissen- <br />burger moved the reappointment of Captain navies to the Board of Trustees <br />of the Police and Firemen's Zetirement Fund for a term expiring July 1, 1978. <br />Iiotion was seconded by Councilman Lieberman and unanimously carried. <br />ItECO'MILNDATIONS - CITY PLAJ CO'EITSSIffil - SUN OIL COIIPA3Y: <br />Councilman Lieberman called attention to two recommendations (dated Decem- <br />ber 31, 1974) from the City Plan Commission concerning the Sun Oil Company <br />at 7501 Delmar ;;oulevard: one with regard to an application for rezoning of <br />the northwest corner of i)elmar and Hanley from Planned Business (PB) to <br />Arterial Business (A:;) and the other an application for a Conditional Use <br />Permit for the property at 7501 Delmar. <br />Follmwying brief discussion, Councilman Lieberman moved that a public hearing <br />be scheduled for 9 o'clock P.n. on February 3, 1975 to consider the rezoning <br />application, and that a public hearing be scheduled for 9:30 o'clock P.M. <br />on the same date for consideration of the Conditional Use Permit request. <br />Iiotion was seconded by Councilman Weissenburger and unanimously carried. <br />Councilman Weissenburger requested the administrative forces to look into <br />the possibility of their posting some bond in the event they would close up <br />which would clear this land, and he asked that the administrative forces <br />advise whether a proviso such as this can be put on a Conditional Use Permit. <br />
