AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS FOR SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING SECTION 10.44.010 THEREOF, RELATING TO PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS AT ALL TIMES, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS “SECTION 10.44.010 PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS AT ALL TIMES,” THEREBY AMENDING ON THE WEST SIDE OF SAID SECTION SO AS TO PROHIBIT PARKING AT ALL TIMES NORTHBOUND JACKSON AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF DARTMOUTH AVENUE TO THE NORTH LINE OF TULANE AVENUE. AND ON THE EAST SIDE OF SOUTHBOUND JACKSON AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF DARTMOUTH AVENUE TO THE NORTH LINE OF TULANE AVENUE ; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 10.44 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to parking restrictions on specific streets, is hereby amended by repealing Section 10.44.010 thereof, relating to parking prohibited on certain streets at all times, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as “Section 10.44.010 Parking prohibited on certain streets at all times,” thereby amending said section so as TO PROHIBIT PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON THE WEST SIDE OF NORTHBOUND JACKSON AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF DARTMOUTH AVENUE TO THE NORTH LINE OF TULANE AVENUE. AND ON THE EAST SIDE OF SOUTHBOUND JACKSON AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF DARTMOUTH AVENUE TO THE NORTH LINE OF TULANE AVENUE; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: Section 10.44.010 Parking prohibited on certain streets at all times. The following streets or parts of streets are designated as places where the parking of vehicles is prohibited at all times: Alley between Kingsbury Boulevard and Pershing Avenue: For noncommercial vehicles, from the west sidewalk line at Purdue Avenue to a point fifteen (15) feet west thereof, and from the east sidewalk line at Jackson Avenue to a point fifteen (15) feet east thereof. AlleyNorthof Loop North: Both sides thereof from the first alley east of Kingsland Avenue to Leland Avenue. Appleton Drive: North side from the east curb of Tamerton Avenue eastwardly for a distance of sixty (60) feet. AsburyAvenue: East side thereof between Northmoor Drive and Forsyth Boulevard. AmherstAvenue: Along the perimeter of the triangular island at the intersection of Midland Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue. Bartmer Industrial Drive: Both sides thereof from the driveway servicing 6324 Bartmer Industrial Drive to a point eighty-five (85) feet east of the driveway and to a point eighty-five (85) feet west of the driveway. BigBendBoulevard: Both sides, from the south city limits to Forsyth Boulevard, and from Lindell Boulevard northwardly to Millbrook Boulevard. BlackberryPlace: On the west side thereof from Shaftesbury Avenue to Blackberry Avenue. BlandDrive: West side thereof between Northmoor Drive and Forsyth Boulevard. BurchLaneculdesac: -- From a point on the west side of the Burch Lane cul-de-sac forty-two (42) feet north of the drive in front of 1169 Burch Lane, extending along the north and east sides of the cul-de-sac to the frontage at 1156 Burch Lane. CantonAvenue: North side thereof between Partridge Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. Center Drive: Both sides thereof and both sides of the median strip from Gannon Avenue to Amherst Avenue.
