SESSION 1245 <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />May 30, 1980 <br />At a special meeting of the City Council of University City, <br />held in the Assembly <br />Room of City Hall on Friday, May 30, 1980, Mayor Joseph W. Mooney presided and <br />called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. In addition to the Mayor, the following <br />members of the Council were present: <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mrs. Cynthia Metcalfe <br />Mr. Allen Sabol <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br />Absent: Mr. Lawrence Lieberman and Mr. Patrick J. Kelley. <br />Also present was City Manager Frank G. 011endorff. <br />PRESENTATIOW OF ANNUAL BUDGET 1980-81 <br />In accordance with City Charter. requirements, the City Manager presented the pro- <br />posed Annual Budget for 1980=19.$1 to the City Council. Accompanying the budget <br />was a list of changes which have been made in the budget by the City Manager and <br />staff to effect certain economies. <br />SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNUAL BUDGET <br />Councilmember Metcalfe moved that a public hearing on the 1980-81 Annual Budget <br />be set for Wednesday, June 11, 1980 at 7:30 P.M. Councilmember Sabol seconded <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br />A public hearing oil -use of Revenue Sharing Funds has already been set by Council <br />for Wednesday, June 11, 1980. It was decided that hearing should be held at 8:00 <br />P.M. <br />The Council authorized the City Clerk to provide notice of the public hearing to <br />the public by advertisement, which will appear on May 30 and June 4, 1980. The <br />public will also have opportunity for discussion of the budget at the following <br />two Council meetings. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Councilmember Metcalfe moved that the meeting be adjourned. Councilmember Sabol <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 A.M. <br />Dolores A. Miller <br />City Clerk <br />
