Session 1244, Minutes <br />May 12, 1980 <br />TAG DAY FOR AREA ELDERLY <br />Page 4 <br />The City Manager said the Senior Service Board and the Older Adults Community Ac- <br />tion Program requested permission to conduct tag days in University City on June <br />12 - 14, 1980. Funds raised will support transportation programs serving area <br />elderly. Mr. 011endorff recommended that permission be granted for this purpose. <br />The organizations will get property owners' approval before this solicitation. <br />Councilmember Adams moved.approval. Councilmember Su-�ol seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT,AT 1040 NORTH AND SOUTH ROAD <br />The City Manager said 'the Plan Commission recommended approval of a filling sLa- <br />tion at this location. The pressure testing of underground tanks has been done <br />and the results are satisfactory. Mr. 011endorff said he joined the Plan Commis- <br />sion in recommending approval with the following conditions: <br />1. Erect a landscape screen along entire east property line. <br />2. Create a 40 square foot landscaped area at the northwest corner of the <br />property for the base of the free standing sign (if a free standing sign <br />is included). <br />3. Remove black top from tree lawn areas and install landscaping material. <br />4. Remove wooden shed on south of main building; remove deteriorated wood <br />structure at the southeast corner of the property; and remove the ash - <br />pit structure from the area east of the building. <br />5. Provide a suitable enclosure subject to the approval of the Zoning Admin- <br />istrator'-foT a trash receptacle or trash storage to the rear (east) of <br />the building. <br />6. Remove all volunteer trees growing up at foundation of structure. <br />7. All operations and all storage shall be completely within -the enclosed <br />structure. <br />8. Recondition all existing light standards and exterior lighting fixtures, <br />adjusting fixture along Shaftesbury so -that it does not shine into resi- <br />dential property. <br />9. Clean up debris along property lines. <br />10. Install landscaping in the planter area next to office entrance or fill <br />in the planter solid with cement paving. <br />11. Fully recondition the exterior.of the building rem0`thg peeling paint <br />from facias, sidewalks, etc. <br />12. Repair damaged or deteriorated areas of asphalt and sealcoat entire lot. <br />
