Session 1244, Minutes May 12, 1980 TAG DAY FOR AREA ELDERLY Page 4 The City Manager said the Senior Service Board and the Older Adults Community Ac- tion Program requested permission to conduct tag days in University City on June 12 - 14, 1980. Funds raised will support transportation programs serving area elderly. Mr. 011endorff recommended that permission be granted for this purpose. The organizations will get property owners' approval before this solicitation. Councilmember Adams moved.approval. Councilmember Su-�ol seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT,AT 1040 NORTH AND SOUTH ROAD The City Manager said 'the Plan Commission recommended approval of a filling sLa- tion at this location. The pressure testing of underground tanks has been done and the results are satisfactory. Mr. 011endorff said he joined the Plan Commis- sion in recommending approval with the following conditions: 1. Erect a landscape screen along entire east property line. 2. Create a 40 square foot landscaped area at the northwest corner of the property for the base of the free standing sign (if a free standing sign is included). 3. Remove black top from tree lawn areas and install landscaping material. 4. Remove wooden shed on south of main building; remove deteriorated wood structure at the southeast corner of the property; and remove the ash - pit structure from the area east of the building. 5. Provide a suitable enclosure subject to the approval of the Zoning Admin- istrator'-foT a trash receptacle or trash storage to the rear (east) of the building. 6. Remove all volunteer trees growing up at foundation of structure. 7. All operations and all storage shall be completely within -the enclosed structure. 8. Recondition all existing light standards and exterior lighting fixtures, adjusting fixture along Shaftesbury so -that it does not shine into resi- dential property. 9. Clean up debris along property lines. 10. Install landscaping in the planter area next to office entrance or fill in the planter solid with cement paving. 11. Fully recondition the exterior.of the building rem0`thg peeling paint from facias, sidewalks, etc. 12. Repair damaged or deteriorated areas of asphalt and sealcoat entire lot.
