SESSION 1234 MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL December 17, 1979 At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City, held in the Assembly Room of the City Hall on Monday, December 17, 1979, Mayor Joseph W. Mooney presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. In addition to the Itayor, the follow- ing members of the Council were present: Mr. Lawrence Lieberman Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. Mrs. Cynthia Metcalfe Mr. Patrick J. IZelley Mr. Allen Sabol Mrs. Elsie Glickert Also present were City Manager Victor A. Ellman and City Attorney Dennis F. Ray. MINUTES November 19, 1979 Councilman Metcalfe said there was an error at the top of page four, first paragraph. The first sentence should read "Councilman Metcalfe said she had had communication with Ms Virginia Stith, who was one of the people who worked on the proposed legis- lation, and its Stith essentially agreed with what 11s Safe and :Ir. Adams said this evening." Councilman Metcalfe said another correction should be made on page six, second para- graph under RIVER DES PERES BETWEEN HANLEY AIM SHAFTESBURY. The following should be inserted between the first and second sentences in that paragraph: "Councilman Met- calfe said her information was that it was not a school board contractor." Councilman Metcalfe moved those two corrections. Councilman Glickert seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Councilman Sabol moved that the minutes of November 19, 1979, be approved as correct- ed. Councilman I-letcalfe seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. December 3, 1979 Councilman Glickert said there was an error on page 8 under MISCELLANEOUS. The first paragraph should read "Mayor Mooney said the matter of the blockade on the 8500 block of Elmore was being referred to the Traffic Commission for their perusal and recommendations." She moved that correction. The motion was seconded by Coun- cilman Sabol and carried unanimously. Councilman Glickert moved that the minutes of December 3, 1979, be approved as cor- rected. Councilman Sabol seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS Mayor I -looney said he wanted to make a few comments prior to the reading of a state- ment by the Acting City Clerk relative to the legal opinion for which she asked at the last Council meeting, concerning the gross receipts utility tax petition.
