<br />RESOLUTION NO: RES 060506 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />June 5, 2006 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A COUNCILMEMBER SERVE AS MAYOR PRO <br />TEMPORE UNITL APRIL 2008. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 8 of the Charter of the City of University City <br />(Charter) provides that the City Council shall choose one of its members as mayor pro <br />tempore; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor is absent from time to time or otherwise unable to <br />attend to his duties as provided for by the Charter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the interest of good government and the citizens of <br />University City to have designated a mayor pro tempore in advance; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City <br />Council of University City hereby designate <br /> <br />ARTHUR SHARPE, JR. <br /> <br />a Councilmember, as mayor pro tempore, to serve in such capacity until April, 2008 <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />\ ~ . \ I ; t I , I i f I .J , <br /> <br />, ,r.: ?,~~lT'/ c> t".~, <br /> <br />_'''... .... .4""". fI j '.
