She thinks they were supposed to be bought out by the <br />thth <br />end of last week around August 4, so maybe by August 11 all the remaining properties will have <br />closed. The City will buy out 26 properties. <br />b.Donna congratulated Joe Heneberry on his new job in Chicago. <br /> <br />c.Lynnette reported that the City is working on coordinating an Elycling Event in <br /> <br />University City. A list of acceptable electronics has not been c <br />th <br />Saturday, November 5. We are with a company who will properly destroy hard drive inf <br />and handle the on-site logistics. The company will remove electronics from cars, take it away and <br />process the items. University City is hosting the event. Informaonline; it has <br />not been posted yet because things are still coming together. Jctices <br />members know about the event and that the City will be requestin <br />University City high school will probably be contacted for volun <br />available on the U City website, Twitter, Facebook and a mailing to residents will go out during early <br />September in trash bills. Brandon will include the event informa <br />puts together. <br />2.Administrative items: <br /> <br />a.Donna reported that we are not a full Committee this evening. <br /> <br />b.The May 11, 2011 and July 13, 2011 minutes were reviewed and approved. <br /> <br />3.Green Practices Commission Update <br /> <br />a.Donna reported that Monday night, we are officially a Commission <br /> <br />100%. All the applications are in and they are being dealt with City Council. We will be <br />announced in the August 22 Council meeting. It will be seven nam <br />announced to be on the Green Practices Commission. Joe Heneberry <br />who are present. Officially the names have not been announced. This is a transitional meeting, we are <br />here doing our work, but officially we have not been announced. <br />regulations that Council has set forth now, all Commissions and Committees will be multiples of <br />seven, so there will be seven names announced. There will be one or two that <br />as official Commission members. That does not mean that they cannot attend, <br />another block of seven names to go from 7 to 14 members. Unless has any revisions. <br />b.Donna reported that one thing brought up in the Council meeting <br /> <br />responsibility, but it may be something we probably will work on like that in the future is the property <br />at 8390 Delmar Boulevard which will be a brand new Walgreens store and also a 30,000 square foot <br />office building behind it that was approved by Council. The Plan <br />plans unanimously. There were some in-house questions that did not make the agendas in time to do <br />anything.
