Session 1759 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />June 7, 1999 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of <br />City Hall on Monday, June 7, 1999, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />EXCUSED: Mr. Schoomer was absent because of being out of the country. Also present <br />was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved approval of the regular session minutes from May 24, 1999. Mr. <br />Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS LIAISON REPORTS: <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt, Liaison for CALOP and the Pension Boards, reported that there has not been <br />pension board meeting recently, but that CALOP were reviewing sixteen proposal <br />applications currently. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel, Liaison for the Library Board, had no report this evening. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner, Liaison for the Plan Commission, approved the Delcrest Resubdivision, which <br />Council will be looking at tonight. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman, Liaison for the Park Commission, reported that the Junior Tennis League <br />received permission to use seven courts to hold a tennis tournament at Heman Park on <br />August 5th. They will also be using 2 courts at Flynn Park for one hour every Sunday until <br />May 2000, to help teach young people how to play tennis. Both the Park staff and Park <br />Commission is interested in re-examining the policy regarding Courtesy passes for <br />recreation facilities. Over 2000 courtesy passes were honored during the 98-99 fiscal year <br />to date. The daycare licensing issue was discussed, and the letter from Representative <br />Joan Bray was distributed, requesting the Missouri Department of Health to rescind their <br /> <br /> <br />
