Session 1703, Minutes <br />August 18, 1997 <br /> <br />The sense of the Council was to agree to the subcommittee's suggested procedure, which is as <br />follows: <br /> I. Written request to City Manager for a variance from the Truck Parking Ordinance, <br /> explaining extenuating circumstances. <br /> 2. The request must detail unique circumstances and severe hardship. (Not merely <br /> convenient, which does not generally occur elsewhere in the community.) <br /> 3. Payment of a one-time inspection fee of $25 in addition to standard permit fee. <br /> 4. The exception will not adversely affect the public health, safety, order, convenience or <br /> general welfare of the community. <br /> 5. Must be renewed annually to determine if the unusual conditions still exist. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams also announced that the final version of the Council Travel Guidelines were on each <br />Councilmembers desks, as well. He asked Council to review the material and that it would be on the <br />agenda at the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved for Council to meet in Executive Session at 9:1 I p.m. in the second floor <br />conference room of City Hall to discuss legal and real estate matters. Mr. Ware seconded the <br />motion. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Ware, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieherman, <br />Mr. Schoomer and Mayor Adams.
