<br /> <br />6. Bylaws will be developed for the new Commission. <br />a. Lynnette will email the ordinance that was voted on by City Council to <br />create the Commission. <br />b. Issues to be considered: Terms of office (to be staggered), governance <br />method (Roberts Rules of Order or Dynamic Governance), officers, <br />frequency and type of reporting to City Council, meeting dates & time. <br />c. Lois and Lynnette will work on a draft and issue to all committee <br />members for review and comment prior to the next meeting. <br />7. Meeting dates for 2012 were approved: <br />nd <br />a. 2 Thursday of every month, 6:30 8:00 p.m., in the EOC Room on the <br />Lower Level of City Hall. <br />b. The new meeting schedule will start in October 2011 if the room is <br />available, or no later than January 2012. <br />c. There will be no meeting in December 2011 or in December in years <br />thereafter. <br />d. Commissions only meet if there are agenda items. <br />8. River des Peres Watershed Coalition Trash Bash reviewed by Eric Karch, <br />also see August 10, 2011 meeting notes. <br />a. Students can participate to achieve service hours. Contact the River <br />des Peres Watershed Coalition or erickjkarch@gmail.com in advance if <br />you have a larger group that wishes to participate. <br />b. There will be multiple clean-up sites. Meet at the River des Peres <br />Greenway Trail; site leaders are designated for each cleanup site. <br />c. See the River des Peres Watershed Coalition website, and please help <br />publicize the event. http://www.thegreencenter.org/rdp/ <br />d. Bring a water bottle, wear durable clothes and shoes, bring sunscreen. <br />Participants may be working in the water. Gloves, trash bags, tools will <br />be provided. <br />9. Walking/ Biking Trails in University City: <br />a. Lynn Ricci will give us an update at a future meeting. <br />b. Patrick Owens from the Great Rivers Greenway plans to come to our <br />October meeting. http://www.grgstl.org/ <br />c. There is great opportunity for park and open space development in <br />University City. Jerry volunteered to serve as the Green Practices <br />liaison to the Great Rivers Greenway meetings. He also attends the <br />ng Task Force meetings. <br />d.
