<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY HALL <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Blvd. <br />City of University City, Missouri 63130 <br />August 8, 2011 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, <br />on Monday, August 8, 2011. Mayor Shelley Welsch called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />In addition to Mayor Welsch, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Stephen Kraft <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br />Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe <br /> <br />Also in attendance was City Manager Lehman Walker <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Mayor Welsch noted that Council received a replacement page for the cover letter on <br />the second item on the City Manager’s report. Council also received a resolution to <br />replace the resolution in the packet depicting the correct spelling of Mayor Welsch’s <br />name. Mayor Welsch noted that Bill 9118 has been pulled because it has not been able <br />to be presented again to the Traffic Commission per Council’s request. In the swearing <br />in section, Edward McCarthy was sworn in earlier in the City Clerk’s office. Mr. Walker <br />noted that he withdrew Bill 9126 as it needed additional work. As a result a Public <br />Hearing would not be required this night. Mr. Walker also said he placed three items on <br />their desk: an update on the Conditional Use Permit (CUP), Fiscal Year 2011 – 2012 <br />year-end draft financial report, and the final Fiscal Year 2012 final budget book. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert moved to amend the agenda, seconded by Ms. Ricci and carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. <br />July 25, 2011, City Council Regular Session minutes as amended were moved for <br />approval by Mr. Sharpe, seconded by Ms. Ricci and carried unanimously.(Mr. <br />Crow’s second to the motion to adjourn was removed) <br /> <br />F. APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />G. SWEARING IN <br />Gregory Pace was sworn in to the Board of Appeals, Edward McCarthy was sworn in to <br />the Board of Trustees, and Julianne Nieman were sworn in to the Board of Trustees at <br />City Hall by the City Clerk. <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
