So Mayor Welsch hopes this would be another step in creating <br />greater communication within University City. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci asked if she could have a comparison figures showing University City’s <br /> <br />population in 2000 and in prior years, if possible. <br /> <br />M. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />BILLS <br />1. BIILL 9118 <br /> – An ordinance amending Chapter 10.44 of the University City Municipal <br />Code, relating to parking restrictions for specific streets, by repealing Section <br />10.44.010 thereof, relating to parking prohibited on certain streets at all times, and <br />enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as “Section 10.44.010 parking <br />prohibited on certain streets at all times,” thereby amending said section so as to <br />restrict parking at all times on the west side of Melville Avenue thereof from Delmar <br />Boulevard to Kingsbury Avenue, and on the north side of Loop South thereof from <br />Melville Avenue to ninety (90) feet west; containing a saving clause and providing a <br />penalty. <br /> <br />This Bill was pulled until it can be reconsidered by the Parks and Traffic <br />Commissions. <br /> <br />2. BILL 9125 <br /> – An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract <br />between the City of University City, Missouri and the Missouri Highways and <br />Transportation Commission providing for the replacement of the Jackson Avenue <br />pedestrian signal. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to approve Bill 9125 and was seconded by Mr. Glickert. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote <br />AYES: Mr. Price, Ms. Ricci, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe and Mayor <br />Welsch. <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />Bill 9125 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6861. <br /> <br />3. BILL 9127 – <br />An ordinance fixing the compensation to be paid to City Officials and <br />employees as enumerated herein from and after its passage, and repealing <br />Ordinance No. 6845. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to approve Bill 9127 and was seconded by Mr. Kraft. <br /> <br />City Manager Mr. Walker said that he is aware of some issues associated with this <br />bill’s format and over the course of the next few months; staff will be working to <br />improve the format. He stated that when there are minor amendments, as in this <br />case, the entire ordinance would not be submitted. <br /> <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
