<br />DECK REQUIREMENTS <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Decks/Porches <br /> Permit requirements for <br />2 sets of plans that include the following: <br />1) Site plan that clearly shows the location of the deck in <br />relationship to the house. Show rear and side yard set <br />backs as well. <br />2) Construction details <br />The construction details should include the following information: <br />Footing detail which illustrates the footing being located a minimum of 30” below <br />?? <br />grade. <br />Footing locations <br />?? <br />Pier sizes and locations <br />?? <br />Rebar size (if rebar is provided) <br />?? <br />A framing plan that shows the member sizes and spacing <br />?? <br />Post sizes and locations (provide a detail that illustrates the posts being secured to <br />?? <br />the piers <br />Ledger board size <br />?? <br />Size of anchors being used to secure the ledger to the existing structure (if <br />?? <br />applicable) <br />Stair section (include tread and riser dimensions, guardrail, handrail and 2x12 <br />?? <br />stringers) <br />Type of decking being used <br />?? <br />Special requirements <br />: <br /> <br />If the property is located in a private subdivision, trustee signatures will be required. <br />?? <br /> <br />Include the species of lumber being used (i.e., southern pine, hem-fir, etc…) <br />?? <br /> <br />
