Plan Commission Minutes October 26, 2011 The Plan Commission held their regular meeting in the EOC Room located at City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on October 26, 2011. The meeting commenced at 7:05 pm. Voting Members Present Voting Members Absent Ben Halpert (Chairperson) Tom Byrne Deidre Lewis (Vice-Chairperson) Nova Felton Paulette Carr Lisa Greening Ben Senturia Non-Voting Council Liaison Present Stephen Kraft Staff Present Andrea Riganti, Director of Community Development Ray Lai, Deputy Director of Planning, Zoning, and Economic Development Zach Greatens, Planner Other Business Presentation: University City Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan – Margaret Johnson, Chair, Mayor’s Task Force on University City’s Bike and Walkability; Tim Breihan, H3 Studio The Chairperson introduced Margaret Johnson, Chairperson of the Mayor’s Task Force on University City’s Bike and Walkability, and Tim Breihan with H3 Studio. Margaret Johnson briefly explained the purpose of the Task Force on Bike and Walkability and what the group has been working on. Tim Breihan gave a presentation on the University City Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan. He gave an overview of what has been completed since the last time the Plan was presented to the Plan Commission. Approval of Minutes The Chairperson asked for a motion to approve the October 5, 2011 Plan Commission Meeting minutes. Mr. Senturia asked about the motion by Ms. Carr regarding the presentation about the Parkview Gardens neighborhood plan. Ms. Carr stated that her motion was that the consultant continues their work on the plan and it was approved. Mr. Lai added that the recommendation was made with the preferred option being the mixed-use option presented. Mr. Senturia asked that the approval be reflected in the minutes. No action was taken on the October 5, 2011 minutes. tm; E
