s <br /> i <br /> i <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION 2011 - 11 <br /> 3 <br /> i <br /> Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Engagement Agreement <br /> with Schowalter & Jabouri, P.C. for an Annual Audit of the Financial <br /> Records of the City <br /> $i <br /> 1 <br /> t <br /> WHEREAS the University City Charter Section 31 mandates that there be <br /> an independent, annual audit of all City departments made by a certified public <br /> accountant who shall be engaged by the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council received and considered written proposals <br /> from several certified public accountants to provide such services and heard <br /> presentations by four of them at the City Council's July 18, 2011, meeting; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after being fully informed, desires to engage <br /> Schowalter & Jabouri, P.C. to provide the required audit services; and <br /> a <br /> WHEREAS, proposed terms and conditions of the engagement are set out <br /> in the attached correspondence dated August 3, 2011 from Schowalter & Jabouri, P.C. <br /> to the City Council, and the attached fee schedule, which are incorporated herein by <br /> reference. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed terms and <br /> conditions of the engagement are hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized to <br /> enter into and execute on behalf of the City of University City, Missouri, an engagement <br /> agreement with Schowalter & Jabouri, P.C. for fiscal years 2011, 2012 and 2013, <br /> substantially in the form attached hereto <br /> Adopted this 8th day of August 2011. <br /> , <br /> i <br /> Shelley W ayor <br /> s <br /> Attest: <br /> LWe P , City Clerk x <br />
