Resolution, Page 2 PROPOSITION A Shall the Parkview Gardens Special Business District be authorized to impose a tax on real property within the Parkview Gardens Special Business District of eighty-five cents on the one hundred dollar as- sessed valuation for the purpose of paying for costs and expenses incurred in the operation of the district and for the provision of services or improvements authorized in the Special Business District Act? AND WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IX, Section 21 of the City Charter, the election returns shall be canvassed by the City Council at a meeting not later than forty-eight (48) hours at~er their re- ceipt by the City Clerk, and the candidates receiving the highest number &votes for each office be de- clared elected, NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the laws of the State of Missouri, the City Charter, and the Ordinances of the City of University City, and the rules and regulations promulgated by the Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, the City Council of University City, at a meeting held on April 22, 1996, at 7:30 p.m., upon the certification of the returns by the Board of Election Commission- ers of St. Louis County from the thirty-nine precincts in the City of University City, and upon certifica- tion by the City Clerk of the results of said election held Tuesday, April 2, 1996, in the City of University City, and as canvassed by the Council of said returns of said election, and it appearing that the votes received are as follows: Number of Votes Joseph L.
