Resolution, Page 2 <br /> <br />PROPOSITION A <br /> <br />Shall the Parkview Gardens Special Business District be authorized to impose a tax on real property <br />within the Parkview Gardens Special Business District of eighty-five cents on the one hundred dollar as- <br />sessed valuation for the purpose of paying for costs and expenses incurred in the operation of the district <br />and for the provision of services or improvements authorized in the Special Business District Act? <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IX, Section 21 of the City Charter, the election returns <br /> <br />shall be canvassed by the City Council at a meeting not later than forty-eight (48) hours at~er their re- <br /> <br />ceipt by the City Clerk, and the candidates receiving the highest number &votes for each office be de- <br /> <br />clared elected, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the laws of the State of Missouri, the City Charter, and the <br />Ordinances of the City of University City, and the rules and regulations promulgated by the Board of <br />Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, the City Council of University City, at a meeting held on <br />April 22, 1996, at 7:30 p.m., upon the certification of the returns by the Board of Election Commission- <br />ers of St. Louis County from the thirty-nine precincts in the City of University City, and upon certifica- <br />tion by the City Clerk of the results of said election held Tuesday, April 2, 1996, in the City of University <br />City, and as canvassed by the Council of said returns of said election, and it appearing that the votes <br />received are as follows: <br /> Number of Votes <br /> <br />Joseph L.
