f. Will you look at Olive Boulevard for options for more jobs and offices?
The market analysis showed that Olive has very limited future as a
commercial corridor due to the lower rents generated in the Loop in
comparison to the Euclid corridor in CWE. The CWE has higher rent
sections that support the low rent areas of the neighborhood.
g. Olive is too wide and cannot replicate the Loop type of feel, how do we
work with County or State to try to redirect that development? The St.
Louis Regional Bike Plan is calling for bicycle lanes along the entire
length of Olive through University City. That has already been
coordinated with MoDOT. Because of the congestion in the Loop and
since there is not any desire to have more vehicular traffic in the Loop,
Olive should serve as the vehicular alternative.

5. The Green Practices Commission members were invited to attend the
Parkview Garden public meeting to share input on sustainability. Please visit
the project website at www.parkviewgardensvision.org

6. The GPC voted to approve attending the Parkview Gardens public meeting in
lieu of the regular meeting on 11/9/11. The PVG public meeting will focus on
implementing sustainable systems for the project.

7. A member recommended using a sustainability consultant on an ad-hoc basis
for an outside opinion for the Commission depending on the subject matter.

8. Item was tabled until the January meeting.

10. Donna discussed that five members have been announced and appointed to
the Green Practices Commission. Two more members still need to be
appointed. Hopefully, the two members will be announced by January.
Commission applicants can contact the council members about their
applications

11. Opening Round:

Neville reported that the Trash Bash had 10-12 people who worked in
University City on the River des Peres. About 600 pounds of trash was
collected from the Mona Terrance site and 450 pounds of trash was
collected at the Heman Park location. Forty-two people working at
Hanley Hills collected 1,520 pounds of trash and at the Chaminade site
31 people collected 771 pounds of trash. The other places are up river
34
Page of
