DeanSmith; Juliette Smith; Sarah Heymann; Al <br />Baernstein; Judy Baernstein; Ed Schwarz; Debbi Schwarz; Eileen Pheiffer <br />Margaret Johnson opened the meeting by welcoming the various visitors from the University Heights I <br />subdivision. <br />1) Approval of agenda <br />Approved. <br />2) Approval of minutes of previous meeting and any admin issues <br />Approved, withthe proviso that Mr. Fredericksenhas resigned and the minutes shouldso reflect, and <br />correction of a typo. Secretary to resubmit corrected minutes for posting. <br />3)Reports on walk/bike related actions in UCity. Carol reported that Linda Fried, currently out of <br />town so unable toattend the meeting, is working with Trailnet (Cindy Cantrell at Trailnet) to implement <br />a program at BarbaraC. Jordan school <br />4)Complete Streets Legislation—Lynnettereported that this is back from counsel’s review and is <br />under review by the City Manager. <br />5)Draft master plan <br />Various members voiced their disappointment that the consultant was not in attendance to discuss the <br />draft sections of the consultant’sreport and that sections of the report had not yet been submitted to the <br />Task Force for review.Lynnetteexplained that the consultant group wasnot yet backfrom the <br />holidays. <br />Lynnette reported that that the draft Master Plan map has not yet been updated but should be available <br />next week. Margaret and Sarah expressed concern that the Task Force would not be able to review it <br />and give input before the planned January 23 Study session with the City Council.They also raisedthe <br />issue of our questions about the budget information Lynnetteexplained that it may be available next <br />week and could be sent to the Task Force via e mail for review.Therewas a discussion of whether this <br />would work,; the Task Force decided it would attemptto operate within this framework. <br />A question was raised as to who andhow maintenance would beprovided in private subdivisions. Mr. <br />Wilson agreed that there would be a cost for this item. Residentsof the University Heights I subdivision <br />raisedquestions about the route planned through or near Lewis Park. Sarah explained that the plan is <br />currently at a conceptual stage,with a recognition that numerous issues like that raised with respect to <br />Lewis Park will need to be resolvedwith public input at the time of implementation. Both Sarahand <br />Lynnetteagreed with the sentiment expressed that implementationwould require presentation and <br />education in neighborhoods.Sarah pointed out that though there are issues for residents, that there <br /> <br />
