SESSION 1662 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 8, 1996 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers of City Hall <br />on Monday, April 8, 1996, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition <br />to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. George R. Cotton <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was Deputy City Manager Kimberley Trombly. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes of the special meeting held prior to the regular Council <br />meeting on March 18, 1996. Mr. Cotton seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved that the minutes of the regular meeting on March 18, 1996, be approved as submit- <br />ted. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, which carded unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />Mr. Cotton moved the appointment of Mr. Byron R. Price, 1520 78th Street, to the City Plan Commis- <br />sion for a term expiring January 1, 1999. Mrs. Thompson seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Ms. Mary Ellen Campbell, newly appointed to the Library Board; Ms. Genice Self, recently appointed <br />to the Arts and Letters Commission; and Mr. John Pou and Mr. Peter Steuterman, both of whom were <br />appointed to the University City Redevelopment authority, were given the oath of office by the City <br />Clerk. Mayor Adams thanked the new members for their willingness to serve the City in this way, <br />adding that their advice and counsel is very important to the City in so many ways. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER' S.
