a.Decisions were made to 1)Select date for Council presentation. 2) <br />Request a Study Session, then a subsequent presentation during a <br />Council meeting. 3) The Commission prefers alive presentation in the <br />event that written documents are not read by Council. 4) City Staff will <br />make recommendations to the City Manager, who then makes <br />recommendations to Council. <br />7.St. Louis Sustainability: <br />a.The St. Louis Sustainability Survey will be reported on in February by <br />Lois. She will talk to Catherine Werner to seewhat is usefulfrom the <br />survey? What were the lessons learned? Should the City of University <br />Citydo a survey also? <br />b.Trash bills are sent in March and September. Lynnette can include a <br />survey in the newsletter that is set with the trash bills. <br />8.Sustainability Communications Brochure: <br />a.Suzanne Vanderhoef, of Foray Communications, is the Sustainability. <br />She would like feedback and suggestions for the updated GPC <br />communications piece. <br />b.Outreachto the community, how to get involved? <br />c.Introduction to the GPC, focus on the topic areas. <br />d.Limit the use of hints and tips. <br />9.Letters to the Mayor regarding Recycling: <br />a.This is in regards to the recycling in the Loop. This will be discussed at <br />future meeting (Feb.). <br />b.Lynnette will respond on this matter. <br />10.No Council Liaison Report. <br />11.Energy Audit: <br />a.The draft report was completed and being reviewed by staff. Comments <br />were sent to the consultant. Consultant will be asked to presentthe report <br />at a future GPC meeting in March or April. <br />12.Election of Officers: <br />a.The nomination of Officers was completed. Tim nominated Lois for <br />Chairperson, Neville passed, and Donnaseconded the nomination of Lois. <br />Lois accepted the position and was accepted by all attendees. <br />b.Donna asked Dianne if she would like to be the Secretary, butshedeclined. <br />Donna then offered herself as Secretary and Neville and Lois agreed. <br />Donna accepted the position as Secretary <br />15.
