SESSION 1661 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 18, 1996 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers of City Hall <br />on Monday, March 18, 1996, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m. In <br />addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. George R. Cotton <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the February 26, 1996, minutes as submitted. Mr. Cotton seconded the <br />motion, which carded unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved the appointment of Mrs. Mary Ellen Campbell, 6955 Pershing, to the Library Board <br />for an unexpired term ending June 30, 1998. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved that Ms. Genice Self, 7057 Kingsbury, be appointed to the Municipal Commission <br />on Arts and Letters for a term expiring January 2, 2000. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which car- <br />ried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the appointments of Mr. Peter Steuterman, 7335 Cornell, and Mr. John Pou, 1077 <br />Roth, to the University City Redevelopment Authority for terms expiring March 18, 2000. Mr. Wagner <br />seconded and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S .,REPORTS <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (NINE ITEMS) <br /> <br />Picnic Liquor License - Fair in the Square (#1). Approval was recommended of the annual license to <br />sell beer on June 2, 1996, at Fair in the Square by the Gateway Detachment of the Marine Corps League, <br />with fee waiver since this is a City-sponsored event. <br /> <br /> <br />
