The revised brochure will be distributed to the <br />Commission for additional review. <br />7.Recycling in the Loop: <br />a.The City will donate eight recycling containers to the Loop Special Business District, which will <br />be responsible for taking recyclables to the City recycling center. <br />b.The GPC will develop a strategy to encourage bars, restaurants and retailers in the Loop to <br />recycle. This issue is expected to be a high priority in the coming months for the GPC. <br />8.The energy audit report will be the main agenda item for the March meeting; allow 45 minutes for the <br />presentation. <br />9.Jared Agee with University City presented the International Green Construction Code (IGCC) <br />a.The City plans to update codes and adopt either 2009 or 2012 version of ICC. Usually a one year <br />delay to work out errors in the code document. <br />b.The City is updating the permit fee structure. <br />c.The energy code is the most important. <br />d.Consider providing recommendations for energy efficient renovations and new construction to <br />homeowners. Lois will send Jared a copy of the US Green Building Council’s poster for this. <br />e.Please contact Jared with questions and comments. <br />10.No City Council Liaison report. <br />11.Commission vacancy: <br />a.Donna resigned her Commission position. Lynn Ricci will appoint a replacement, after reviewing <br />previous applications. Consider asking Linda Fried if she would re-apply for the Commission. <br />b.The Secretary office will remain open until the vacant Commission position is filled. <br />12.Closing Round: <br />a.Earth Day, April 22: University City will have a booth at the Forest Park Earth Day festival. <br />Contact Lynnette to volunteer. <br />13.The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m. <br />
