<br />BILLS <br />Introduced by Mr. Glickert <br />3. BILL 9152 – An ordinance amending Section 10.44.-1- of the University City Municipal <br />Code, relating to parking restrictions for specific streets, by allowing parking on the south <br />side of Loop South as provided herein. <br /> <br />Introduced by Mr. Crow <br />4. BILL 9153 - An ordinance amending Chapter 10.48, parking meters, of the University City <br />Municipal Code by reorganizing certain sections therein and by amending said sections to <br />reconstitute the City’s parking zones, revising the time limitations pertinent to said zones, <br />and by adding “Parking Pay Station” regulations. <br /> <br />O. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION (continued if needed) <br />Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert said the residents of University City should be provided with all Washington <br />University property addresses in the City of University City. She said six months ago, there <br />were about 140 addresses which may be 150 buildings due to some addresses having at least <br />ten buildings. Ms. Glickert said that Washington University is being subsidized by the <br />residents of University City. <br /> <br />Edward McCarthy, 7101 Princeton Ave <br />Mr. McCarthy referred to both Councilmember’s Kraft and Crow who spoke about making <br />adjustments on the accounts receivables from delinquent trash bills. He said that they would <br />open the City up to litigation if they wrote them off at will because the City would be giving <br />people tax relief and people cannot be treated differently. Mr. McCarthy said that Mr. Walker <br />only needed two years to implement the financial consultant’s recommendations and noted the <br />consultant’s recommendations were good for the City and its residents. <br /> <br />Gregory Pace, 7171 Westmoreland <br />Mr. Pace said that he would like to give kudos to the Lyons Boys basketball team. He said he <br />was fortunate to be at Country Day last week for the District Championship Game. Trevon <br />Williams won the game at the buzzer. <br /> <br />P. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mr. Kraft asked the City Manager about the Flynn Park project’s progress. The City Manager <br />said that he would report back to Council on the status. <br /> <br />rd <br />The Mayor invited everyone to spread the word about Saturday, March 3at 6:00 p.m., the <br />City Celebration of Diversity at Centennial Commons. She said there will be free food, <br />entertainment and organizations participating from around University City. She also said that <br />the new brand identity for the City would be unveiled at 7:00 p.m., and encouraged everyone <br />to attend. Mayor Welsch encouraged residents to fill out an application to be a member of the <br />City’s many Boards and Commissions. She said she was looking for someone to serve on the <br />Land Clearance Redevelopment Authority and the CALOP Commission. Mayor Welsch said <br />you could obtain an application on the City’s website or they could contact the City Clerk for <br />one. <br /> <br />The Mayor made a motion to go into Executive Session Pursuant to RSM0610-021 (1) Legal <br />Actions. Any confidential or privileged communications between a Public Governmental Body <br />or its representatives and its Attorney and (3) personnel hiring, firing disciplining or promoting <br />5 <br /> <br />
