<br />Mayor’s Task Force on University City’s Bike & Walkability <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 862-6767, Fax: (314) 863-9146 <br />APPROVED <br />Meeting Notes –University City Bike and Walkability Task Force <br />May 1, 20126:30 PM to 8:00 PM <br />Location:University City Centennial Commons –Board Room <br />Attendees:John Watson;Beverly Jane Spudich; Margaret Johnson; Carol Wofsey, Linda Fried; <br />LynnetteHicks(City of University City); Sarah Hanly;Arno Perlow; Jane Schaefer <br />Absent: Jerry Breakstone (excused) <br />1) Approval of agenda <br />Approved. <br />2) Approval of minutes of previous meeting and any admin issues <br />Deferred until next meeting <br />3)Final Approval of the H3 Report. <br />There was discussion with the following corrections to the report noted: <br />Page 8—add the word “walk” after “within a 5 minute” <br />Page 8—add dots to signify traffic lights <br />st <br />Page 12—route should be shown on 81not west of Brittany Woods School, and delete the reference to <br />apedestrian loop <br />Page 44 is lackinga total line, add it in <br />Page60—fix the spacing issues <br />Jane made a motion to approve the H3 report with the above-referenced corrections, Linda seconded the <br />motion and all voted to approve it. <br />4)Initial approval of the Task Force report <br />After discussion, the following was decided: <br />Under Complete Streets Legislation—capitalize “city” throughout. Add the word “legislation” in the <br />title and capitalize the firstfour words in the section. <br />Under Safe Routes to Schools, capitalize After School andput a space between page and 81. <br />Under Pedestrian Safety, replace pedestriantable with speed table and consider getting a picture to <br />illustrate thispoint. CorrectSt.CharlesCount to County. <br />Appendix2—Lynnettewill check the status of the Complete Streets legislation we submitted. <br /> <br />
