<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 20, 2006 <br /> <br />At the Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers <br />of the City Hall, on Monday, November 20, 2006, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order <br />at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager, Ms. Julie Feier. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of November 20, 2006, Regular Council Session were moved for adoption by <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr., seconded by Ms. Brot and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />William Baldwin was nominated by Mr. Sharpe, Jr., to the Library Board, seconded by Mr. <br />Wagner and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S AGENDA <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />1. Rescue Tool - called Jaws of Life is used to cut open cars for extrication. <br /> Since the two low bidders did not meet the specifications, the award was <br /> recommended to go to the next low bidder, Schumacher Fire Equipment for $19,533. <br />2. Uniforms for Fire Department <br /> The low bidder, Leo Ellebracht Co., was recommended for $13,650.50. <br />3. Liquor License at 7701 Olive <br /> Aldi’s application for a liquor license for the sale of packaged-liquor was <br /> recommended for approval. <br />4. Consulting Services for River DesPeres Project <br /> This project to assure quality of water entering the River DesPeres is covered by <br /> grant funding. The low bid was from Earth Tech for $81,193. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved for approval of the consent calendar, seconded by Ms. Brot and approved <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br />1. Conditional Use Permit for 1340 Partridge. <br />The Plan Commission and the Historical Preservation Commission recommended <br />approval of the application from Children’s Services, Catholic Charities, for a <br />conditional use permit for an expanded dormitory residential facility. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved for approval with all conditions listed and was seconded by Ms. <br />Brot. <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
