Approval of Minutes
The minutes from the March 21, 2012 Board of Adjustment meeting were approved.

2. Case # 12-03036 8038 Lafon Place
Jay Sparks with Sparks Design, Inc., on behalf of Robert Lattinville (property owner), requested
a variance to construct a new single family dwelling maintaining a front yard setback of 20 feet
in lieu of 30 feet as required by Sections 34-30.5.2.a(1) and 34-55.3 of the Zoning Code for the
residential lot in the SR Single Family Residential District. The variance was denied by a vote
of 5 to 0. The Board members noted that based on the evidence submitted it did not appear that
the request arose from a condition that was unique to the property; the existence of a hardship
was not evident; and it appeared that the request was created due to an action or actions of the
property owner.

3. Case # 12-03037 7166 Pershing Avenue
Marc Lopota with Microgrid Energy, on behalf of Carl Hoagland (property owner), requested a
variance to construct an accessory structure (ground-mounted solar panels) maintaining a side
yard setback of three (3) feet in lieu of five (5) feet as required by Section 34-30.5.2.a(2) of the
Zoning Code for the residential lot in the SR Single Family Residential District. The variance
was approved by a vote of 5 to 0. The Board members noted it was clearly demonstrated that the
proposed location of the ground-mounted solar panels was the only possible location for them to
be installed.

tm;
šE
