Request to install a Stop Sign on Eastgate Ave at Cabanne Ave. <br /> <br />Commissioner Henderson presented the Public Works and Parks Department <br />recommendation to install a Yield sign for better and clearer assignment of right-of-way on <br />eastbound Cabanne Ave at Eastgate Ave. Additionally it is recommended to install a <br />warning sign on Cabanne Ave westbound that reads “Cross traffic does not stop” to advise <br />motorists that the other legs of this intersection do not have Stop sign controls. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nichols made a motion to install a Yield sign on eastbound Cabanne Ave at <br />Eastgate Ave. and a warning sign on Cabanne Ave westbound that reads “Cross traffic <br />does not stop”, seconded by Commissioner Womack and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />5. Request to install a Stop Sign on Amherst Avenue at Center Drive <br /> <br />Commissioner Henderson presented the Public Works and Parks Department <br />recommendation to deny the stop sign request, and instead install a Speed Limit sign 25 <br />MPH on Amherst Avenue at Gay Ave, and replacing the Speed Limit sign 25 MPH on <br />Amherst/Wilner at Blackberry Ave. Additionally it is recommended to install a warning sign <br />on Center Ave northbound that reads “Cross traffic does not stop”. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brot made a motion to adopt the Public Work and Parks recommendation, <br />to install a Speed Limit sign 25 MPH on Amherst Avenue at Gay Ave, and replacing the <br />Speed Limit sign 25 MPH on Amherst/Wilner at Blackberry Ave, and to install a warning <br />sign on Center Ave northbound that reads “Cross traffic does not stop”, seconded by <br />Commissioner Womack and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />6.
