CITIZEN COMMENTS
Rod Jennings, 1306 Mt. Olive
Mr. Jennings represented the University City High Alumni Association. He said last year the
City favored them with the use of the south side of Heman Park and were successful in bringing
about 1500 alumni and their families. On July 31, 2010, will be their seventh anniversary
picnic. Mr. Jennings thanked the City, Council, the School District, local businesses and the
entire community for their support. The financial arrangement this year will be the same as last
year, where the City will support the picnic with in-kind services and no hard money. He
mentioned Mr. Tyrone Thompson; class of 1982 had agreed to become their membership
chairman but sadly was murdered this weekend. This year’s picnic will be dedicated to him.

Ms. Watson asked the Council if they would like this to appear on a future agenda. Mr. Price
agreed.

Tamara Donohoe, 7205 Dorsett Ave.
Ms. Donohoe asked if the City could use any of the funds to meet the City’s expenses. Ms.
Watson stated that all of the other funds are for a special purpose and that is why they are kept
separate.

11
