Task Force Activity: <br />Discussion with Clayton Director of Parks and Recreation; review of Center of <br />• <br />Clayton operating agreement between Clayton School District and City <br />Census of possible Aquatics partners; exploratory contacts <br />• <br />Information gathering with University City Department of Finance <br />• <br />Discussions with School District Executive Director of Operations Karl Scheidt and <br />• <br />with School District Chief Financial Officer Scott Hafertepe <br />Preparation, distribution, and analysis of a brief community aquatics survey <br />• <br />Participation in “Save-a-Pool” and “Build-a-Pool” workshops presented by the <br />• <br />Facilities Department of USA Swimming <br />Separate follow-up meetings and written communications with Mick and Sue <br />• <br />Nelson, USA Swimming facilities staff, including a site visit to the Nat; an <br />Enterprise Plan for a Community Health & Wellness Center; and an electronic <br />library of Aquatics planning materials and real world examples <br />Meeting and follow-up written communications with Isaac Sports Group, a <br />• <br />business that “provides consulting, planning, design, strategy, programming and <br />management services for aquatic facilities, from the dream of a new pool to the <br />reality of long term day-to-day operation and management” <br />Consultation with Paul Weiss, former swim coach for University City Swim Club and <br />• <br />University City High School, currently Chief Program Officer for Asphalt Green (a <br />multi-pool aquatics and athletics complex in Manhattan) <br /> <br />
